WINE OF THE WEEK: AUDITORI BLANC

Auditori blanc is a wine from the oldest vines, of three varieties (White Grenache, Pansal and Macabeo).
Fermented in cement egg, French oak fudre 1500 liters and 400 liter barrels.
Aged on his lees for 10 months, doing batonage every week.

During the last 18 months, the AkataVino Wine Magazine & Guide team have tasted and valued more than 3,000 wines from 1,000 wineries, and only the wineries with 90+ Points wines have received direct nomination to participate in the CIVAS 2021 (International Sommeliers of Spain Wine Competition). Among the nominated wines, only 500 wines have been finalists and evaluated for two weeks in a double-blind tasting.

The JURY of the IV CIVAS 2021 Competition and the COMMITTEE of the Magazine & Wine Guide AkataVino award the XIX AKATAVINO 2022 AWARDS to the Best Wines of the year in Spain.

Auditori is an organic wine made 100% with garnatxa from very old vineyards from 70 to 90 years of the DO Montsant.

Selection and harvest by hand, choosing only the best grapes. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A complex wine with finesse, fruit and perfume. This set makes this wine so special and unique.

How are you?

We want to share something very very special with you.

ACUSTIC CELLER history started in 2003 when we fall in love with old beautiful vineyards of MONTSANT. That year we started our dream of making Acustic (acoustic, unplugged) wines from these amazing vineyards and this unique special area of MONTSANT.

Albert Jané started this project buying 1,5 hectares of a Grenache planted in 1932 and since that time ACUSTIC CELLER has bought many old beautiful vineyards until having almost 45 hectares which are cultivated in organically.

We focused on acquiring vineyards first instead of trying to build a cellar.

In 2004 ACUSTIC CELLER started making first harvest in a small (120 metres) in the center of Els Guiamets village.

In 2010 we moved to a bigger warehouse (500 metres) in Marça.

In 2021 finally we have been able to finish our HOME, our DREAM, a 2000 metres new cellar started in late 2019 in a 10 hectares property Finca l’Hostal – Mas Esquenat. It is a cellar completely integrated in the landscape covered by land naturally isolated.

In this property FINCA L’HOSTAL we have already planted five hectares of white and red grenache and cariñena and we will finish planting until nine hectares of vineyard in total.

At the end of 2019 we started works of the new Acústic Celler winery.

In the middle of this year it will be finished.

This month MiVino magazine number 259, tasting wines made from old vineyards, where is our Braó 2016 (DO Montsant).

Wines from very old vineyards (more than 60 years old) are a safe value, expression and authenticity of the land.

Braó is a very deep, intense wine made from very old vineyards of carinyena and grarnatxa from our 45 hectares we cultivate in our project Acustic Celler in DO Montsant.

Braó express all singularity and personality of very poor, stony solid and hot and dry weather conditions from Montsant area.

Braó means brave because these very old vineyards have a lot of strength and courage surviving many years in very extreme weather conditions.

The work on the new Acoustic Winery has recently begun and will be a reality by the end of this year 2020. This new building will mark a before and after the Acoustic Family Winery which has been headed by Albert Jané since 2003.

This construction will allow to defend the work of winemaker from the town of Marçà, in the Montsant. Thus, Albert Jané wants to keep alive the knowledge and the family legacy that has passed through the several generations.

In this way, then, a new project is launched, which it faces with great enthusiasm, with many harvests and desire to move on. In addition, we would like to thank all the people who make it possible and who will make quality wines that will bring the taste of Montsant to many homes.

At Acústic Celler we like to receive visits from distributors and importers around the world: Japan, Belgium, USA, England, Switzerland, etc.

This shared time allows us to get to know the territory, the landscape, the soil where our vineyards grow.

It is then that they understand the philosophy, the elaboration and the taste of our wines.

Last May, the wine and gastronomic news magazine Vinos y Restaurants included Acústic Blanc 2017 among the proposals for white wines of the month. Thank you very much for keeping us in mind!

The Braó 2015 was present in the III edition of the Tasting of Magnums, one of the most unique events in the world of wine in our country, held in the Castle of Falset on Monday July 1.
